This place was a recommendation and was worth the visit! The dishes are great to share with options for vegetarians and various meats. The desserts were unique and definitely are something that needs an acquired taste. I loved it all!

We have been here many times while in DC visiting our son at GW
I had to write this review for the owner to hear so we may come back to eat here.
Something has to change! The food is good, but the service sucks which makes the whole experience bad!
After our son's GW graduation we wanted to enjoy some Lebanese food with the family. I called at 5pm to make a reservation at 5:30pm for 6 people and told them we were on our way in an Uber, they said fine no problem. Arrived, restaurant was empty, waiter asked if we were going to eat fast before he asked if we wanted anything to drink or eat because they were going to be busy. I called for a reservation not just walked in! By the time we left the restaurant was still empty! What a joke! What a disgusting turn off for a waiter to say when you have barely sat down to eat!! Disgusting attitude from an unprofessional waiter.
I ordered Kebbi  and the waiter gives me a snarky comment "you know it is raw". Yes I know it's raw, please stop your waiters from asking this question, its not the first time! it's getting annoying and the way they say it! Omg! Like the raw food in your restaurant is disgusting!
I've eaten Lebanese food before and half my family is LEBANESE! I asked for Mesa, waiter says they don't have that! A Lebanese restaurant and Lebanese owner with no Meza? Hard to believe a lying waiter! incredible! Remember I've eaten here before!
So we just ordered 10 different appetizers dishes  while I mentioned to the waiter to make sure it was enough of each dish to feed 6 people. The waiter brings out small portions meant for 2 people to feed 6. 3 times I had to reorder appetizers because he wouldn't bring out enough food!! Each time I asked him is this enough to feed 6 people, he would say no, then bring out more food, we aren't on a budget and are willing to pay whatever the cost to enjoy our meal ! We ordered wine, tequila, beer trying to enjoy our meal with our son. Teach your waiters how to properly serve 6 people!

We ordered appetizers and wanted to enjoy them before ordering dinner but the waiter was like a bad shoe sales man wanting to rush dinner every few minutes! I told him we don't order dinner because each time I've been here you rush to bring out dinner with appetizers! That's not the way we want to eat!
We ordered dinner, the restaurant completely empty on a Friday night, yet the waiter disappeared for 20 minutes. I'm not surprised your restaurant is empty on a Friday after the way your servers treated us!

My son was at your restaurant today, empty restaurant to start. he ordered egg plant, keppei and chicken kabobs, he specifically asked for appetizer first, in the picture below is a display of how your waiters do their job! Lousy! He was served all 3 dishes at once! Are you kidding me? So you serve cold raw meat to be eaten with cooked chicken kabobs all at once!? Who would do this and why? Don't you train your waiters? Not once in the 20 minutes had the waiter come back to check on my son! Despicable! The food isn't that fantastic to put up with horrible waiters at your restaurant!
    Train your staff better!

In the metro Washington, DC area Lebanese Taverna is synonymous with INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS Mediterranean food. If there's a better place to eat Lebanese food, I haven't heard of it!

There are several Lebanese Tavernas in the area, all owned by the same family, and every one of them is top-notch.

Definitely go here with friends and family. They're very good with kids and go out of their way to make sure every customer leave with a smile!

Service, food, ambiance; everything was fantastic! My brother and dad ordered the tarvana deluxe plate and the beef and lamb sausage appetizer with tomato sauce and almonds and they were absolutely delicious. I got the shredded lamb appetizer which came with hummus and grilled pitas bread. All of it was extremely delicious. All the meat was tender, flavorful and juicy. Not only was the food excellent, our server and everyone in the restaurant was so nice to us!

The customer service far exceeded our expectations because they treated us like special guests and I've been to almost thousands of restaurants and this place with the customer service is now on my top 5 restaurants for great service! I don't know if I'll ever be back in the area but if I do, I will come back and recommend people to come here!

Alright, whatever you do, order the hummus platter. That garlic hummus spread, holy cow, what a treat! The spicy one was good too, albeit wasn't spicy enough for me. I'm not the biggest fan of their bread but all and all, it was the garlic hummus that really mattered.

I ordered the falafel sandwich and after having a sip of my friend's, also ordered the pommade... which, do that as well. The pommade is delicious and why don't we drink more pomegranate in various forms?! The falafel was well cooked but I didn't find the flavor anything special, and it was a bit on the drier side for my liking.

I loved the decor and the space of this restaurant. We sat by the window and got to people watch during our meal which is always fun too. The server was incredibly kind.
